Missables
What can be permanently missed on a first playthrough? This page identifies the highest-risk categories based on research — all pending playtest verification.
Missable Risk Categories
| Category | Risk Description | Recovery Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| Room Interactions | Small objects are numerous and may depend on dialogue completion. | Use Room Checklists to check off each item. |
| Polaroids | Some photos may be hidden in albums, wardrobes, or book stacks. | Scan all visual focal points when entering a new room. |
| Challenge Conditions | Some challenges have time limits or no-collision requirements. | Note whether retry is available immediately after failure. |
| Minimaster | Assembly and flip-inspect may have independent conditions. | After assembly, check both front and back faces. |
| Post-Scene Returns | Some Cassandra room objects may only appear after the softball scene. | Before chapter transitions, confirm whether new interactions appeared. |
General Advice
- Do not rush through dialogue — wait for each string to fully end before triggering the next interaction.
- Before leaving any bedroom, do a final sweep of all surfaces, shelves, and hidden corners.
- Screenshot anything you interact with if tracking 100% completion manually.
- Check the Save Strategy page for checkpoint recommendations.
High-Risk Moments
Based on research, the following transitions carry the highest missable risk:
- Leaving Stacy's room before checking the bathroom.
- Progressing past the softball scene without returning to Cassandra's room.
- Triggering the party sequence before completing The Ritz cleanup interactions.
- Missing the wardrobe door polaroid that requires multiple interactions.
